Ershad Fatahian

It all started like this: with the encouragement of a friend, I sent my photos for the first time to participate in the 8th Iranian Photography Biennale, the result was interesting! I became the first in the field of architecture, in 2006. I had entered a new world, now it was time for new experiences in this world, I am Ershad Fattahian, born in 1982 in Tehran, a graduate of painting from the University of Art and Architecture in Tehran.

I started my career in photography and graphic design in 2006, I have participated in 3 international exhibitions in Germany, Italy, Poland, and 15 domestic exhibitions.
I have been working as an art director since 2011 in my advertising studio called deep creative solution
The last collection that I have been working on since 2018, with the technique of photo collage and video montage, is a combination of documentary photos and illustrated characters from the Shahnameh, nicknamed the Houghton Shahnameh.

In this collection, I combine the documentary photos I have taken with regard to the subject and the selection of characters appropriate to that subject so that all the elements in the image serve to narrate a subject.

The audience is always attracted by creativity in the narration of visual arts resulted from the process of combining imageries. I use this technique to revive characters from hundreds of years ago and situate them in in today’s modern venues.
